Admin Usename Not Working After Upgrade

Hello,

After I upgraded my wordpress to the the latest version on my site from 2.3 to 2.7 the wp-admin page appears not not recognize my user name and when i put in my email it doesnt have it in the system! Can i edit this on the backend? What do i do?
