Admin site has no menu options
-
Hello,
I have a wordpress site hosted on a server my father in law owns. When it was first set up a few years ago, it worked perfectly. Over the last year or two I haven’t been on the site very much, and I find myself wanting to do more with it. However, when I log in to the admin site, there’s nothing there anymore. The menu on the left simply has profile and dashboard, and the dashboard only shows boxes for Activity, Site Stats, Yoast SEO Posts Overview and WordPress News. It does have a banner at the top saying a new version (4.9.2) is out, but there is no update button. I have one blog post on the site which I can view under “Activity”, but I have no ability to edit, create a new post, or anything other than be directed to the webpage itself. There are literally no menu options to allow me to do anything.
I’m hoping I’m just unfamiliar with the system and there’s an easy fix. As I said, everything is hosted through my father in law’s server, and he’s the one that set the site up with WordPress, so I’d much rather be able to fix it myself then go to him and ask for a clean install.
Thank you all for your help!
