Admin site and live site look different

  • Hello,

    The admin site where I do all of my editing and customizing looks VERY different from the live site. I have contacted the theme developer and hostgator… both said it wasn’t their issue.

  • Without specifics, I can’t help you, and can’t even tell what the question is.
    Do you have screenshots, addresses of pages, version numbers, theme name, what exactly is the problem?

    The question is in the statement… the WordPress admin customize site is different than what is seen in the real live site. Why is this?

    Well, all I can see is a mostly blank page at that address. I still don’t know what you see in the admin, so how can I tell you why?
    Do you have a “Coming soon” plugin?
    Are you saving your Customizer settings to draft only?
    Do you have any content?
    Did it always look different, or is this new?

    As has been noted on your several other messages, you have an issue with your theme, a commercial theme, which is not supported here. When you purchased it, you purchased support.

    Please stop creating new topics on the same subject.

    Joy, I easily admit that I am a novice in this world. Yes, I have been saving drafts… is there somewhere else I am supposed to save from. All I see is “save draft”… please advise. Thank you.

    If you Publish instead of saving a draft, it will show on the front end. Otherwise, you only see it in the admin.
