  • Angsuman Chakraborty has one at https://blog.taragana.com as well – I’ve been using his for about a month now, it’s SOOOO much better than the over-bloated original! [Though I believe yours is more extensive, Denis. Angsuman’s really just replaces the Dashboard itself….]

@vkaryl how does this work with the comment category thing that moshu worked out earlier???

As far as Denis’ version, I don’t know, because I haven’t installed it. Angsuman’s only changes the Dashboard page. I don’t mind the complexity on my own site so probably won’t use Denis’ version, but for a client or so, it will be ideal….

    vkaryl:

mine really doesn’t do much, really. it’s simple css to style { display: none; } unnecessary things in the complex admin interface. i really do not deserve any credit for this idea, and i’m quite sure most wordpress users will find no interest in downloading the plugin.

for web designers, on the other hand, it may be useful, as customers are less scared by the interface.

Yes – that was what I was meaning, Denis. I have a couple of clients that get really iffy if you give them more than two or three options!

Actually, it’s more than 4 options. Which reminds me… I still haven’t written a follow-up on the topic.

btw, vkaryl: have you got a portfolio anywhere? I’m looking for someone to take care of a couple of web design missions from time to time.

Doesn’t seem to work on WP2? Hmmm. I’d love if it could do… so many extra options that I’d like to hide ??
