Admin Settings Area

    Hi,

    I’ve downloaded the core metabox.io plugin and it’s great – works very nice. Really like the fields and the they’re all very neat. I’ve noticed that it seems to only work with content types – am i right in saying that?

    I need the same functionality to create an admin settings area where i can add site wide values? Is this possible?

    Also – what about meta boxes for categories and custom taxonomies? is that possible also?

    One at a time:

    Yes, this plugin is only limited to post types. It currently doesn’t support admin areas, though there are tutorials online that show you how. We may or may not add this in a future update.

    Meta data for taxonomy terms is being added to WordPress 4.4, so maybe we’ll add fields to those, though taxonomies don’t support meta boxes.
