    Hey guys,

I have a client who has made use of a few custom fields (specifically we have one called style #) and when they type in any styles into the search in the admin, nothing shows up–its as if they HAVE to type in the product name–the problem is that we have multiple products with similar names, that are given unique styles and our client has requested they be able to search by style number as well–is that possible? Right now I’m not seeing any results if I type in a style number from a custom field, and adding plugins like Relevanssi to the backend don’t work either.

Is there a workaround for this or any plans to include the custom fields in searches? (I’ve purchased the premium version of the plugins)

Thanks in advance for all the help along the way!

    Hi ttoomey,

It’s not really possible to search by custom field at this time in the admin area. It’s not something that we’re completely opposed to adding, since it would help people find the products that they want to edit more quickly, but we haven’t thought of a way to implement it that would keep the admin interface streamlined and also wouldn’t clutter up the product display code excessively.
