Admin Preview Redirect differs from Browser Based Redirect

I have a custom group setup, setup similar to the example in the docs but matching “/collections/” instead of “/products/”. And I prioritized term results over post results.

When I test the URL https://delta.ar15discounts.com/collections/bear-creek-arsenal in the preview window of the admin it returns the correct redirect (. When I try it in the browser it redirects me to a product.

I have used healthcheck to disable everything except this plugin and woocommerce and the issue persists. Also tried messing with the priority setting to no avail.

I also tried to use a filter to simply re-order the default group’s firing order of the engines. This again would result in a correct redirect in the admin preview window, but would not be a correct redirect when hitting the url from the browser.

For whatever reason the preview window in the admin is obeying the modifications I make to the groups / engines while requests through the browser are only following the default order.
