• I have a very strange problem. I have the latest wordpress 6.4.2 installed. The default language is Serbian. In the admin part of posts, pages… the date column doesn’t show the date anymore since a few days ago, but only letters. https://postimg.cc/hJLcwTMW How to solve this problem? Thanks.

  • Take a look at the date format under Settings > General. There is probably something wrong there. If the setting there is correct from your point of view, then it is due to the PHP in your hosting. WordPress uses the PHP settings in the hosting for this. In this case, contact your host’s support team.

    Hi matke,
Basic troubleshooting can help find out what could be the issue.
You might want to check the following:

    • Check the “Date Format” setting and ensure it’s set to your preferred format (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY).
    • Ensure the language settings for your WordPress installation are correct. Go to Settings > General and check the “Site Language” setting. If it’s set to Serbian and causing issues, consider changing it temporarily to see if it resolves the problem.
    • Plugins or themes might conflict with the date display. Try deactivating any recent plugins or themes you’ve installed to see if that changes the date display back to normal.

Try these out, and let me know how it goes.

When I change the language to English, the date is visible. When I change the language back to Serbian, it doesn’t work. In the settings, everything is set as it should be. https://postimg.cc/jWLWvDZW I turned off all plugins and the same thing happens again. On the site itself, the date is ok, but it doesn’t work in admin part. I turned off all plugins and still nothing. I even installed xampp on the local computer, imported the complete site and the same thing happens there. I don’t know what else to try.

Have you ever changed the theme to a standard theme?

Do you use the same PHP version in hosting as in XAMPP or do they differ?

Have you contacted your hoster’s support team as recommended above?

Don’t know if you solved the problem but, I had the same problem. Somehow in POT file date string for Serbian is set as Г/м/д. You should change id to Y/m/d and it will work as expected.
