• Hi folks,

In the back-end, the list of posts is displaying in an order that seems to have no relation to ID, date, author or alphabetical order. This obviously makes finding and editing recent posts from the back-end a complete pain.

Interestingly, the RSS feed seems to have gone the same (exactly the same order) way.

    Any ideas??

  • Well at least I can tell you that when 2.3 comes out (this week likely), there are some enhancements to Manage Posts and Pages.

See Version 2.3 info in Codex.

    Hi Michael,

What might solve this problem is a function in the view posts / pages display that allows you to sort by ID / Date / Author / Alphabet exactly. Shouldn’t be too hard. 2.4? 2.3.1?

Still got the problem though with the current display.

pould – if you (temporarily) disable all plugins, does the current display get fixed?

    Genius idea HandySolo.

That just about solves the problem (now in descending order of editing). Reactivating plugins one by one to find the culprit.

    Bingo.

The bad bad boy is DC’s Nicer Archives found at https://wp-plugins.net/plugin/nicer_archives/#plugin_181. The link to the original author no longer works. Have deactivated it (it was a legacy plugin used by the previous maintainer of the site) and everything works fine now.

Should have thought of doing that earlier.
