If you can’t do it through the reset password then you can do it using phpMyAdmin.
– Once you have opened phpMyAdmin go to your database and click on it.
– Find the table wp_user and click on it.
– Click “Browse” in the tab above the right side of the split screen
– Find your admin username and click on the pencil icon
– your password in hashed in the user_pass field. Change the hash to your new password and DO NOT SAVE.
– To the left of your password there is a drop down option. Select MD5 from the list and then save.
–DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING AND OR CHANGE ANYTHING I HAVE NOT MENTIONED ABOVE.–
Now you can log into your account again using your new password
