Admin panel is super slow

  • My admin panel in wordpress is super slow. I disabled all the plugins, I changed the theme to “Twenty Eleven” and I updated WordPress. Still, the admin panel is very slow. I have 2008 posts and 6 pages.

    My front end though is not slow, even though I disabled cache.

    Does anybody have an idea of what can I do about that?! Thank you very much!

    Hi. Thanks for answering. Can’t share the URL publicly. I host the site myself. 4GB ram, AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 4170 HE

    If it’s your own box, there are far too many things it could be: MySQL configs, PHP configs, Apache, etc. You need to dive into server admin. Really has little to do with WordPress.

    Do you have an idea of which MySQL configs, PHP configs or Apache configs I should look into? I’ve tried it in two servers, one my own and one from Rackspace, and I have the same speed problem with both. Thanks!
