• Yesterday I was trying to do some work on speeding up my wordpress so I was testing out a few caching plugins among other things. The last time this worked, I had installed WP-Super Cache and Wp-MInify from W3 Total Cache. I love total cache but it caused a few conflicts with the javascript that is running in my theme ( i believe that is what it was i’m learning this as I go). These two plugins together were working fine. I also decided to try PHP Speedy Cache. I removed speedy cache and I added a code to my .htaccess file to add gzip compression. Everything was working fine but I am now having a problem with my site as well as the admin panel. My site will not show the drop-down menus I have set up and on the admin panel I cannot switch between site admin and Network Admin nor can I change screen options on my admin panel. I’m not sure what is wrong. I have tried deactivating recently installed plugins. At one point I got my menus working by turning off the minify for js but that only worked on the main page now I cannot get it to work at all. My site is resetprogram.suttonalternative.com. Please help!

  • Since you do not have access to your admin panel, try manually resetting your plugins, using ftp rename plugins folder to plugins_hold and create a blank plugins folder If that resolves the issue, delete blank plugins folder and rename original back to plugins reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
