• Hi,
I’ve just installed WordPress for the first time and initially eveything was fine.

    I then installed some plugins:
    All in one SEO
    google-sitemap-generator
    new-tag-cloud
    photoxhibit
    stats
    yak-for-wordpress

and now I have all sorts of problems…
Firstly, I activated them all and all worked until the last that was photoxhibit. When I clicked to activate it a blank page loaded. I tried viewing the source code and that page was empty too. There was literally nothing there.

I then deleted photoxhibit from my plugins folder. This solved that problem but when I tried to load the plugins page in admin I got the option to download plugins.php (this usually happens to me locally when I’ve forgotten to switch on Apache). I went to my hosting company and set php 5 as my default which solved that. I reinstalled photoxhibit and all seemed to work.

I went to activate askimet but that then said I couldn’t connect to the askimet server to enter my API code and to check my servers settings. I deactivated askimet and then installed a new theme called 06-cityscapesign-10 from the theme viewer and now I’m back to getting pages that load nothing whenever I click a link in the admin area.

Does anyone know whats going on?????
Is this a bug with one of the plugins or have I failed to install something correctly? Please help?????
    Kirsty

  • Kirsty,
It sounds like there may be an issue with your server. Is this on a hosting server? Do you have access to the error logs? What version of WP are you using?

I ultimately would deactivate everything including any themes that is not default and install one at a time, testing out the site after each. By testing I mean, go to every page of you admin section then go back to plugins and add the next till the site does not work.

I am the dev of PhotoXhibit, so I would be very interested in seeing if there is a conflict with my plugin that I need to get fixed.
