For the second time in a month, I’m shut out of my admin pages. It worked last night. It doesn’t work this morning. Nothing was changed by me, including the blog settings.

I can enter the blog URL plus /wp-login.php and I get the name & password form, but when I enter the information, I’m taken to an all white page and the source for the page is empty.

I have no plug-ins other than Akismet installed. It’s doing the same thing on both my mac and my pc.

Also, when I go to the blog, which is still available to the public, the meta “edit this” links are missing.

    Don’t try this at home!

I used my FTP program to rename the current theme. That I assumed would force WP to revert to the standard theme. It did. Then I logged in to the admin pages and there they were.

I then changed to the theme I had been using. The admin pages were still OK. Public-facing blog pages were OK.

I’m using a third party theme I found. Could the theme be messing with my admin pages?

I am also seriously interested if this can ba a case. Is it possible for a theme to messe up the wp-admin???
