• My WordPress Installation was working fine for more than 2 years. SUddenly, when I log in to the admin page, it is blank. A page is being created but it is just the base tags – here it is:
    ‘<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN”>
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <META content=”text/html; charset=windows-1252″ http-equiv=Content-Type></HEAD>
    <BODY></BODY></HTML>’
    Looking in the folder wp-admin, everything seems fine. I put a jpg file in the folder as a test and it showed up just fine.
    Any ideas?

  • try to increase php memory by adding this to your wp-config.php

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

    Dos anos, eh? What are you running, 2.2? 2.3? There are known security problems with all of the older releases so my first thought is ‘hacked’. Its hard to say for sure though. Plus, I’m only guessing at the version. Have you added any plugins? Has your host updated software or changed configuration? Do you have an URL?

    I tried the memory limit – no change
    Yes, I think it is 2.2
    no plugins – only a basic install

    Do you have an URL? Or maybe you are talking about the same blog as you are here? If you are, you’ve been hacked. Lotsa spiffy malicious code on that one.
