Admin page tab disappeared

  • Well what can I say?
    The page tab isn’t there anymore in the left part of the admin panel. Should be there always, right? I made two pages before. Can reach them only via the general dashboard. Tab is gone.
    Don’t have a clue when or how it happened.
    Anyone went through this or has any idea?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing your available memory?

    Hi thanks a lot esmi!

    You were so right: it was a plugin. Namely the Magic-fields plugin, because I deactivated it and there was the page tab again.
    And then I reactivated the same plugin and the page tab stays there. Success! Well let’s hope I can keep it there.
