Admin Page Search not working

  • I have around 8,000 pages so using the search function in WP admin is critical but it’s not working. It doesn’t matter what I search for, the results are always the same first 20 pages beginning with ‘A’ so it’s just like a refresh of the Pages list.

    Is this due to the high page count and I need to change a setting server side? TIA.

  • ?? I’m not sure if its quite the same thing…but if I search for any page title it just throws up lists of pages even though I have the exact title, and my sites aren’t near that large. I really think something is broken.

    Hi, I had the same problem, admin page search was broken. For me it only found one and the same page no matter what the search word was.

    It turned out that one custom made search plugin was causing this error. After I disabled it the search worked normal. Maybe try to disable your plugins to see if it helps.

    If only it was that simple ?? I have no other search plugins to turn off ??
