• Hi. I have a couple of recently installed WordPress sites on a HostGator hosting. All have Jetpack activated and have a secure certificate. For some reason, I have multiple issues when attemping to do anything on the admin page and I’m not sure if is tied with some specific setting or not:

    • On the login page, after I click the access button, it just redirects me to the very same page without login. It only works if I enter with Jetpack.
    • I can’t update nor install a plugin/theme in the admin—It just retrieve the error ?update failed?.
    • When I attemp to save any setting on any admin page, it redirects to the options.php page without saving any changes.

Strangely, nothing of that happens if I enter to the site using mobile and with its own 4G signal, even with the very same user accounts.

  • Hello, Andrés, & welcome. Could we please try deactivating all plugins on your site(s) & also switch to a default theme & try logging in/saving settings? Conversely, you could try downloading the health check plugin by www.remarpro.com & put the site in troubleshooting mode using that so the appearance of the site won’t change for your guests. I do like the first option better personally, especially if the 2nd doesn’t work, just to make sure.

The other thing is, though, you seem to indicate that you can get in using your phone but not your WiFi? If that’s the case, then I’m wondering if somehow Hostgator has blocked your WiFi’s IP w/its firewall. That usually doesn’t let you go to your homepage or anything else though.
