• Hi – great plugin, but when a new comment is added, the site owner doesn’t get notified. Any way that can be changed ?

On the interface side, it’s not very intuitive if it looks like there’s nothing happening. I’d recommend a modal window (faded) with an AJAX spinner that prevents the user from attempting to post twice, or even worse, abandon their comment as it currently looks like it’s broken.

The comment does get posted, but without the necessary interface adjustments, it gives off the wrong impression.

    Thanks

Ok. Using the Subscribe to Comments Reloaded plugin works perfectly, and provides exactly what I need. Not sure why this doesn’t work with Postmatic as slated, but…

    Hey mcutting,

I suspect this is not a problem with wpDiscuz but actuallly with your Postmatic Basic configuration.

Have you tested Postmatic Basic with your Postman configuration independently of wpDiscuz? We do support 3rd party smtp relays but I haven’t personally tried Postman yet. We’d love to know what you find.

Guys – I’ve since found out that it wasn’t Postmatic causing the issue – it just so happens that it was the Social Media Tracker. On disabling this plugin, everything works as expected now.

I initially thought it was a Postmatic issue as it seems to work with another notify plugin. However, WPDiscuz and Postmatic seem to offer a great solution when joined together and I wanted to keep that integration.

    Thanks again.

    Glad to hear it!
