admin name & email

The guy that installed the wordpress on out server used his e-mail address as the install address – now all notifications are showing that they are coming from this address. Since he no longer is around, how do we change the email? – I have looked in the admin settings and I have changed the account there to reflect the new email but it goes not change the origin of the actual notifications that people get. where else migth it be?
