    Hello from Germany!

I’d like to use your tool permissions, but having some problems.

Unfortunately, I notice an effect of the plugin, which otherwise works well, on me as ADMIN:

If the plugin is OFF, then as ADMIN I can search for the word “fire” in my images when creating an article, for example. But if the plugin is ON, then unfortunately I have problems here. For some search terms (I couldn’t figure out exactly in which cases) no images are displayed – the search hangs. If I switch the plugin off again, it works again without any problems. So it’s somehow related to that.

Can you identify what this could be?

    Best Regards

    Thomas

    Hi @2fly4

    Thanks for using our plugin.

Do you mind sharing some screenshot where you did the search while creating an article?

    Thanks,

@2fly4 I’m not able to replicate this. I can still search the image even with PublishPress Permissions activated

Do you have any specific configuration on our plugin?

No, i don’t think so. But i have a very big database:
    >50.000 posts and
    >100.000 pictures

with some searches it works – with other not! Maybe it’s because of the number of images that can be found!?

What seems very interesting in this context is that the search word “fire” works when I e.g. B. Select “August 2023”. Then all the pictures can be found – the only problem is that you have to know when the picture you are looking for was taken.

@2fly4 I believe it’s indeed related to the large database you have.

From your video, it’s still searching for the images, as the loading icon is still present.

The images show up when you select the months because selecting a specific month limits WordPress to search only for images within that month, resulting in faster retrieval.

Yes, that seems to be the case. However, if I search for “fire” WITHOUT your plugin being active, the result comes within a second!

@2fly4 Honestly, this behavior is not typical for our plugin. Our plugin should not affect those search queries.

The situation appears to be more complex and may require further troubleshooting.

Unfortunately, asking for login details is against the guidelines of this forum (www.remarpro.com?Forum Guidelines).

Our Pro users have the advantage of accessing our private helpdesk, allowing for direct troubleshooting on their sites.

Considering the complexity of the issue, we recommend upgrading to the Pro version so we can address and troubleshoot it directly on your site.
