admin login OK, but can’t edit

  • please help, problems with administrating my website.

    i CAN login with my admin user, but i don’t get redirected to the “dashboard”.
    it looks like wordpress consider me as normal user, and not ADMIN, so can’t edit anything.
    when i type in URL wp-admin/edit.php i got message that this URL can’t be accessed with my user.

    i tested with other users that i had, and i even created a new user with admin rights via “phpmyadmin” .

    still same result ! i desactivated all plugins (moved them to another problem) but the problem persist.

    i deactivated theme and still same.

    any ideas ?

    Did you solve this problem. I have same problem latest update .

    I can login my admin user and password but i cant edit admin role. When i click edit button, Redirect to page and its writing ” You are not permitted to change your own profile information. Please contact a member of HR to have your profile information changed.”

    Also i am creating new admin but show admin but when i login new admin user and password but role is author…

    What can be the problem?

    Note: I deactivated all pluging and check the database.

    Had the same problem. Check your wordpress database prefix. If it is not default ‘wp_’ you should change (or duplicate):
    – ‘wp_user_roles’ entry to ‘wp_PREFIX_user_roles’ in table ‘wp_PREFIX_options’;
    – ‘wp_capabilities’ entry to ‘wp_PREFIX_capabilities’ in table ‘wp_PREFIX_usermeta’.
