Admin log in troubles. I get a blank page when…..

    Hello. In advance thank you for any help. I have installed wordpress. Set my user name and password. Log in fails. It tells me I inputted the wrong user name and password. I searched the codex, found the solutions. I tried all the suggestions. I reset my password and tried again. After I log in, it gives me a blank white page with nothing. Hum…. any help?

    Typically, a blank screen during/right after installation means you didn’t get a complete and intact set of WordPress files uploaded to your host. I’d consider downloading a fresh copy of WordPress from the Download tab at the top of this page, then use something like 7-Zip to extract the files. Then reupload the files to your host. Review Uploading WordPress to a remote host and make sure you are using ASCII transfer mode in your FTP client.

    If you have an .htaccess file, that too could be causing the problem–rename that if necessary.

    Thank you for the prompt reply. I am investigating a thread further down for some possibilities. This is actually my 4th time re-downloading and installing this software. I am using AscII mode. I also have found and followed the .htacess file route to no avail. I’ll keep reading.

    any advice after taking a look? (besides don’t post that stuff in a forum lol)
