Version 3.4.5 keeps redirecting to /wp-admin … dozens of times until Chrome gives up. When I put the 3.4.4 version back in it works without any problems.

Also why is this plugin not tested up to the latest (6.1.1) wordpress version ?

  • The same thing happened to me. The latest update completely screwed up authentication for all the sites my company hosts and developed. If you have a custom admin path like the majority of ours do besides wp-admin, it throws a different error of “this function has been disabled for security purposes” or I get a Google auth error of missing scope. Had to roll this update back on 50 production sites today.

I too had similar-sounding issues, no users could log in with v3.4.5 and were getting a mixture of security warnings and redirect problems.

I dropped Dan/the dev team an email, as the pinned post in the area suggests he/they may not necessarily pick up issues in these forums, and it gave an email address.

A rollback to v3.4.4 gives a temporary fix for me too.

    Same.

Stuck in a redirect loop after the update.

We’re getting the same since updating to 3.4.5 and have worked around for now by rolling back to 3.4.4.

I thought I would offer a brief update.

I got an auto-reply from the generic email in the pinned post in this area, which suggested there would be a quick follow-up (the dev team aiming for a 24-hour response during the working week). This did not come, so I followed up myself. I did get a reply to that follow-up, at least to acknowledge there is a problem, suggesting that the 3.4.4 rollback is the temporary solution, and simply to state the team is looking into it.

I appreciate it’s not much of an update, but thought it might help given the silence on these forums from the dev team.
