Admin locked out

    Someone tried to log in to the admin unsuccessfully. Then the admin account was locked out. I entered the right password and even changed it, but when I tried to log in I am getting this message :

    ERROR: This account has been locked because of too many failed login attempts. You may try again in 2 weeks.

    I even changed the Wordfence plugin folder name, but still the same.

  • Hi @biblestudyradio,

    Do you have another plugin that is blocking your login page? Once Wordfence is deactivated, you should be able to login.

    There are no other plugin that can do this. Are you saying that the warning message

    ERROR: This account has been locked because of too many failed login attempts. You may try again in 2 weeks.

    is not put out by Wordfence?

    Hi @biblestudyradio,

    I’m not certain this error is coming from Wordfence. Do you have any other security-related plugins? Can you share a list of the active plugins?

    If you’re able to reproduce this can you please try manually disabling the Theme My Login plugin and let me know if it helps?
