admin.js is missing. This leads to hundreds of 404s in my logs.

  • This plugin is awesome and thanks for creating and maintaining it.

    In another thread you say that admin.js is part of the current release. If I go to the plugin page here on www.remarpro.com and download the zip file for 1.1.0, the admin.js is not in the zip.

    Can you please upload a version of the zip with this file, or a fix that doesn’t request the file?

    282 of these in my log from just the last 30 minutes:

    404 /wp-content/plugins/bp-verified-member/assets/js/admin.js?ver=1.1.0

    This seems to fix the admin.js, but now the verified checkmark is no longer showing up in my forums.

    Can you please tell us what version of bbPress you are using?

    I am not using bbPress or BuddyPress. I am using the BuddyBoss Platform plugin, which is a fork and merger of both. It is backward compatible and was working fine until this upgrade to 1.1.1.

    I run many other bbPress and BuddyPress extension plugins and they all still work fine, so I am guessing it has something to do with the 2.6 compatibility you added?

    Just to be clear, BuddyBoss is completely compatible with bbPress 2.5.14 and anything that supports it.

    Hi @ghoush,

    Yes, this is most likely because of the bbPress 2.6 compatibility patch that we did.

    bbPress 2.6 is a major update that changed a lot of things in the bbPress code, so it is not surprising that this doesn’t work anymore with version 2.5.14.

    I will discuss this with the team to see how we can approach it and add backwards compatibility with bbPress 2.5.14.

    Thank you for that! I really hope backwards compatibility isn’t a huge problem for the code.
