• Since 3.0 I have minor issues with my admin which start to bug me.

One thing, WP wants to add an extra slash before the admin folder, so //wp-admin instead of just /wp-admin. Both work, but I get the feeling that this has something to do with another issue.

In Internet Explorer and Browzar the admin doesn’t work. I have no stylesheet and can navigate through the admin as long as I don’t need the database. As soon as I want to view posts I get a 404. Regarding the stylesheet issue, I noticed that the stylesheet is addresses as /wp-admin/css/login.css?ver=20100601. There is no such file and the weird thing is that Firefox just opens that stylesheet, with or withhout “?ver=20100601”, Internet Explorer gives a 404 on the full url, but does open the sheet without the version and browzar doesn’t find the stylesheet with either address.

Any thoughts? (Yes, I reuploaded the wp-admin and wp-includes folders and tried if it was a plugin.)

  • What is entered as the site and WP urls in Settings/General?

He Esmi. I probably should have mentioned that I have a multisite. I know what you ask, but that setting is not there where it used to be (or perhaps it is not there in mu-surroundings). The subsites have “paths” like this “/bookreviews/”, but the double slash thing happens in the ‘superadmin admin’ (which has the “path” “/” by default). Another thing I just noticed which is probably related, under “settings” “general” of the main site (from which the subsites are created) has default date settings and when I try to edit them, I get a 404 because it loaded https://wp-admin/options-general.php?updated=true without the domain name (three times and when trying again to copy the url it worked well……….).
Also when navigating through the admin, it sometimes just jumps to the double slash and back. I haven’t found the logic in that, but I will pay more attention.

Could my other problem be related btw?

A couple of these little things on the backend start to irritate me. I’m about to try to see if it’s 3.0.1…………. Any suggestions before I delete my WP and install 3.0?
