Admin forced banner causes critical error

    installed plugin.
    System added a ‘40% off!’ banner to admin panel.
    When I kill/end the banner, all systems give me a critical failure.

    Have deleted plugin now in order to work but – what the Actual going on there folks?

    Sorry, I may have said it incorrectly.
    It’s when I do that – click the remove ‘x’ – that a critical error occurs in WordPress.
