    Hi

I just installed the plugin. It owrks just fine, but I get this error message on my admin console:

Gmail SMTP plugin requires PHP 5.6 or higher. Please contact your web host to update your PHP version.

    I have PHP 7.0.25 installed.

    PHP 7.0.20-2~ubuntu14.04.1+deb.sury.org+1 (cli) (built: Jun 14 2017 05:55:23) ( NTS )

Why is the test for PHP version failing on the plugin?

    Thanks

Hi, Please copy and paste the “Server Info” part of the Gmail SMTP Settings so I can take a look.

Sorry, my mistake. I had both versions of PHP installed, and my apache was using the wrong one.
