We have an interesting issue where a site has incorrectly entered our email address in Settings => General => Email Address.

We get update notices for their site but cannot change it as we don’t have an admin account since it is not our site. We have asked them to fix it but they either have not or cannot, or do not understand us, since it’s in a different language (I believe Albanian).

I don’t know of anything we can do and was curious if the community had any tips or ideas.

    Thanks!
    Andrew

Do you have database access via phpmyadmin or some other tool? You could change the email directly in the database.

    No, I’m sorry I wasn’t clear enough.

A site we have nothing to do with (not hosted by us and not related to us at all) typed in our email address (probably a typo) as their admin email, so we get the emails when the site has been upgraded and so on.

Nothing you can do except maybe set up a filter in your mail client to forward the emails to the site’s owner. You can probably get an admin email by doing a whois on their domain.

Thanks, that what I figured but thought I’d check. Appreciate the help!
