admin email is not updating on database

When I installed WP I used my personal email. But have since changed it in the settings to the proper admin email. And while the email is listed correctly in the options table of the database user registration emails are being sent under the original email I entered.

After checking the options table I found the following records containing the old email:

fileaway_options
auto_core_update_notified
um_options (this is the ultimate members plugin)

I’m not sure why these are still referencing the old email.

Can I just manually change it in the tables? What possible backlash might there be?
