Hi I moved my blog from my old url to a new one.
I basically reinstalled WordPress2.7.1 and replaced the theme and plugins with my old stuff…

My problem is everytime I try to install ANY plugins I loose the Dashboard and plugins page in the admin section and sometimes the entire admin section disappears… if i delete everything in the plugins folder it goes back to working.

Can anyone help me with this?
I can’t find any posts with similar problems

    Ah Hah! Found the problem!

This is so common on the forum “Blank Pages” to do with admin but there is only one post I could find that answers it. I’m not a techie so forgive me if my asnwer isn’t exact….

    WordPress databases use php pages…
Most people using PHP 4.0 will have no problems.

    BUT

If you are using PHP 5 you need to manually assign memory to your PHP usage. I couldn’t do it personally (again not a techie!) so I called my host and asked them to increase my PHP memory! Problem solved no more blank pages!!
