    Hello,

I am dealing with serious problem, since I’ve moved the site from test to live server, I think that capabilities are somehow broken.
I’m trying to create new post, page or whatever, with ADMINISTRATOR user, but instead of PUBLISH button I have only SUBMIT FOR REVIEW.
I have tried every single option so that I can publish NEW pages as an “administrator”.
I have checked all the boxes to allow an administrator to create NEW pages
I even tried creating NEW admin ( under the “Add New User” ) so that I can switch over to, but creating a new admin just comes out as blank.
I can’t publish anything on my site and my administrator user is behaving like editor, even if all the options from Capabilities are selected.
    Please help.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi @hristkop

    Thanks for using PublishPress Capabilities.

Sorry, the WordPress forums here aren’t a great way to solve problems like this. Our replies can take 2 to 3 days, and longer at the moment because it’s the holiday season.

My best advice would be to compare your live site to the test site. Are the same boxes checked? Are the same plugins installed on both sites? If your test site is working correctly, that should be your best guide to solving this.

    Hi @stevejburge ,

Thank you for the reply, I’ve managed to solve this, it wasn’t problem with the plugin but bad database import. Since I had this plugin installed, I thought that there is some problem with the user permissions.
For anyone having similar problem, I suggest first checking your database, does the admin user is really administrator and checking if wp_posts table have autoincrement value setup (or primary key). In my case, wp_posts table wasn’t imported right and the autoincrement value was lost, so I had posts with id=0.
Re-exporting and importing the database solved my problem.

    Thanks!
