admin bar missing

Hi. Not sure what happened but I no longer see the admin bar at the top of the screen when I view my blog. I’m signed into the dashboard and I checked my user profile has the “show toolbar when viewing site” checked and it is. Any ideas how I can bring the admin bar back. I’m able to sign into the dashboard. It’s just when I’m looking at my site or any blog post, the toolbar that would allow me to edit and go straight to the dashboard is missing. thanks
