Admin Bar Font Size and Search when mobile

I am using buddy press and the admin bar with it. I can’t figure out how to change the font of the admin bar with CSS so that it is larger for my users to see.

Also, as the screen size gets smaller and the admin bar is acting responsive, the search icon disappears along with notifications. So on a mobile phone it just shows the gravatar of the user and is a drop down menu. I would like to keep the notifications and the search for mobile devices in the admin bar.
