    Hi everyone,

My wp-admin bar that shows up at the top of my website has suddenly gone missing, as well as the majority of my widgets on my sidebar (other than search).

I thought the problem was with my theme and so I changed it today to a different one but the problem is not resolved.

Even when I am logged into my site, the admin bar doesn’t show up. It’s only when I go to my site /wp-admin can I go in and change things. The second I go back to my site and try to edit pages, it disappears.

For my sidebar, all of my widgets are there in the widgets section but are not showing up on my actual site.

I don’t know code and haven’t touched anything on my site (other than the theme, but that was today), which makes it stranger that all of a sudden these two things have disappeared.

If someone could help me out, I’d really appreciate it. My site is https://ikhlashussain.com/

    Thanks.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

So I removed all the widgets and added them back and it worked! Thanks so much ??
