Admin area looks wrong after new WP installation

  • Installed a new wordpress site this morning and the admin area looks funny, including page/post editor text all white and missing editor buttons.

    Using Google Chrome
    SCRIPT_DEBUG fixed the error
    Chrome error console reports this:
    Rangy warning: DEPRECATED: createCssClassApplier in module ClassApplier is deprecated. Please use createClassApplier instead.
    in rangy.min.js line 10

  • Have you tried:
    -deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    -switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
