Admin Approval by User Role? WooCommerce issue

I’m currently using the free version with the premium Mailchimp Addon.

I’m using a user registration form for a ‘wholesale customer’ to sign up – this goes through admin approval which works great.

However, when this option is on it sets all of our normal ‘customers’ to pending status when they complete WooCommerce checkout.

How can I set admin approval only to work on certain roles OR only to work on the User Registration plugin forms?
