    In General Options have set User Approval and Login Option to Admin Approvalin the dropdown

    However when a user registers it seems they are automatically approved.

    Admin receive an email:

    Hi Admin, 
    A new user xxxx - [email protected] has successfully registered to your site. 
    Please review the user role and details at 'Users' menu in your WP dashboard. 
    
    Thank You!

    However when I check their user they are already approved.

    Is there some other setting to make it so admin must approve newly registered users

    Please help!

    Hi @voodoochill,

    To create and send the admin approval after user registration, you need to add a smart tag to your email. For more details, please check this link https://docs.wpeverest.com/user-registration/docs/individual-form-settings/#1-toc-title.

    For admin approval, go to your User Registration >> Edit the registration form you have created and go to the settings of the form>> User Login Option >> Choose the Admin approval method.

    Ah thanks, I hadn’t realised the form itself had that setting as well and that is the one I need to change.

    I am curious then, why is that setting also in the general options?

    The general option for user login is an old feature; we will exclude that option in upcoming update of the plugin.

    Hello,
    I have selected “Admin Approval”
    Checked the box for “Send User Approval Link in Email”
    Confirmed my email address under ADMIN EMAIL, and
    Checked the box for “Enable this email sent to admin after successful user registration”
    and still I don’t receive any email or notification.

    Is there something else I need to do? Why do I not get any notifications when a new user registers?

    If it is helpful, I also don’t get the test email when I click on “SEND A TEST EMAIL” on the “EMAIL” tab.
