Recently we discovered that using the advanced search filter in the admin will work correctly on the first search, but then if you open it up again most of the other fields are populated with “false”. This will then break the next search unless we manually delete all of the added false’s.

I have no idea what could be causing this. It seems not ALL field do this, but the ones that do and don’t share similar field settings ( regular plain text, not required, max length 255 ).

    Hi @nkals722

I’m not familiar with these filters, is this a plugin you are using?

    Cheers, Jory

    Yes, it is this plugin.

In WordPress admin, if you click to manage any of the pods you have created, you will see the screen listing all of the entries. At the top of that screen is a search and underneath that search is “advanced filters”

Clicking Advanced filters opens up the popup for you to search by the fields in the POD. That is where this issue is manifesting.

    Hi @nkals722

Since this is a different plugin please contact the plugin author about this issue.
I think this plugin return false if a value is empty which I believe is incorrect.

    Hey Jory,

I am really confused. Is this not support for the Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields plugin? That is what I am referencing here.

I am talking about the screen when you manage any of the pods you have created to show items from the database table you have linked it up to.

@nkals722 Sorry about that — Jory and Paul are unfamiliar with that interface that Advanced Content Types filters get. You’re correct, this is part of Pods.

If you can submit this as a bug report over at https://github.com/pods-framework/pods/issues/new/choose then I can help you over there. I’ll be sure to look into this for the Pods 2.9.10 release I’m currently working on.

Sounds good. I have submitted this to your github. Thank you.
