Admin access but no access to plugin

  • I am having an issue where I used to have a wordpress blog which was hosted by GoDaddy many years ago, but I shut it down.

    I recently purchased and set up a new wordpress site hosted blog using the same email address as my old blog and although in the user settings, my email is registered as ‘administrator’ I am unable to add plugins or install a theme that I have recently purchased.

    Can anyone help me on how I can get this fixed?

  • This sounds like a permissions issue. Make sure you have read/write access on your wp-settings/themes and plugins folder. Contact GoDaddy if you aren’t sure
