Adjusting slide styles in child

Hi, thanks a ton for this plugin, its really fantastic and much respect to the devs who built it!

Quick question, I’m trying to change the plugin style.css by adding the modified style.css in the child theme, so that I’m not changing the actual plugin and messing with any future updates. Everything I’ve learned says you simply add styles to the child stylesheet, and it will override the plugin styles. Am I missing something, because I can’t seem to affect anything? Would really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.
