Dear Admin, thank you for taking your precious time to read my message.

This is my site BGAcademy. I used your Enigma theme and so far it’s awesome in terms of beauty and simplicity. However, I am just unable to control the sidebar functions properly.

    1) I’d like change my home page to a single column page (I tried adding blank side widgets but it only makes the main information align left.)

    2) I’d like to add all the other information in my Badminton Blog page (Archives, recent posts, Meta, etc)

May I ask how do i go about doing such edits please?

I sincerely thank you for your time and help.

  • Hi..

Please make child theme directory and create a index.php file.

Now copy code from LINK and paste into your child theme’s index.php file.

    2) Please go to Admin Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widget.
Now add widget into sidebar whatever you want.

    Save the Changes.

    Thanks.

    Hi Weblizar staff,

Sorry but the problem is not solved yet.

    1) I hope the homepage can be single column, no sidebar

    2) blog page with side bar

Now my problem is homepage have sidebar, blog have no side bar.

    Hi,

    1) Please create page.php in your child theme.

Now copy code form LINK and paste to page.php that you create in child theme.

    2) Please remove index.php that you created in your child theme.

    Thanks.

    Hi staff,

When I changed the code I received errors on my site and was switched to other theme.

I tried activating enigma or enigma-child theme I get this error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare weblizar_default_settings() (previously declared in /home4/ab77642/public_html/wp-content/themes/enigma-child/functions.php:18) in /home4/ab77642/public_html/wp-content/themes/enigma/functions.php on line 110

    Hi,

Please use only additional functions in child theme’s functions.php.

Whenever you work with child theme, parent theme’s files are called automatically.

If you make any files other than style.css and functions.php, replace parent theme’s file.

style.css and functions.php are simply extended to parent theme’s respective file.

    Thanks.
