Adjust site wide, content area and sidebar

I’m trying to create a section where we can adjust site width, with a slider is so easy to do it but I don’t know how adjust three different section when the first change.
This is the situation: If site width change then content area width and sidebar width change too, and the sidebar never be minor to 300px.
Ideas?
