• Im relatively new to wordpress and had my database backed up and change hosting from windows to linux platform with godaddy cpanel. When I access my dashboard, the Addthis plugin doesnt show as installed or even listed with installed plugins. I need to know how or where to spot the code or directory where this plugin may be active on my server. It shows on my website but I cannot find it to remove or deactivate it. Any suggestions?

  • @dtisdale06: You might be using the code directly on the widgets. Please check the widgets.

Sorry but there are no widgets or plugins with this code within it. I simply installed the plugin, had the database backed up and it will not show within my plugin menu. Im not a pro with coding but I know that I never edited the stylesheet or any of the internal code for the theme or plugins, etc.

Would there be a place within my data base where the plugin or code may have been backed up or hidden after being carried over from my last database restoration? Thank you for offering your help!

    Hi dtisdale06

I have just noticed that I have the same problem. I haven’t needed to change the settings on this plugin for quite a while but when I went to access it today it is not listed along with my other plugins. I’m not sure where, or when even, it has disappeared to. It is showing on my site but I want to remove it and do not know how.

Currently trying to look through my database, bu no luck yet. I will reply here if I get it sorted
