addslashes in post body?

When I attempt to write a post or save and old post from the wp-admin page, the body and title of the post are saved with escape backslashes before single and double quotes. I’m assuming that addslashes() is being called somewhere, but I can’t find the code that is responsible for storing posts to the database, nevermind what is causing it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
