    Hello everyone!

I reached out to my themes developers asking regarding the issue with translation of the “Addresses” menu item on the user dashboard of the logged in state.

They have directed me here suggesting that this is not the issue they can pick up but rather this is a WooCommerce translation issue and I’d need to raise this in the support forums ??

Here’s the screenshot of the issue:

I have translated all the strings via Loco Translate plugin, but sadly this is the only part that doesn’t pull through.

Please let me know how this could be fixed?

    Thanks in advance!

  • I changed my site language to Lietuviu kalba. Hope that is right. Logged in. Storefront theme. “Addresses” is translated to “Adresai”.

Its possible that your theme is using a custom template. What theme are you using?

    Hey @lorro,

Thanks for your reply! I actually tried switching to a default WP theme – Twenty Twenty – Two and here’s the result:

    https://ibb.co/54NMzKP

As you can see from the screenshot no matter the theme I still get the English string despite translating it in Loco (as the remaining menu items).

Current theme I’m using is Blocksy from Creative Themes team.

    Hope this helps!

    Best,
    Mantas G.

Using Twenty-Two and WooCommerce only, I’m seeing “Adresai”.

I suggest not using Loco for supported languages. When you change anything, you are creating a custom translation. If you save your custom translation in the normal location, it will be overwritten at the next update. If you save your custom translation in the custom location, you will need to keep it updated yourself whenever WooCommerce changes a string. Either way would be a burden. The Loco documentation explains the locations.

Anyway, it would seem to be unnecessary to use Loco, since I am seeing “Adresai”.

So, I suggest removing your custom translation file, or at least put it out of the way. Go to Dashboard > Updates. then Update translations, and WP should put the default file back.

Next I would temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce, so that you have Twenty-Two and WooCommerce only. Hopefully you will then see “Adresai” as I do.

If not, make sure there is no server or browser caching in use.

Please post back to say what you see,

    Hey @lorro ,

    Thanks for your reply!

I have removed the WooCommerce Pot file (renamed it to .old so Loco won’t find it).

I disabled all plugins except for WooCommerce and changed the theme to Twenty-Twenty-Two.

    This is what I see:

    Unfortunately nothing changes…

Maybe I’m doing something wrong? I’m not sure on your instructions to update the translations so may be this is the part that I’m missing… If so could you perhaps elaborate with a bit more detail if that’s ok?

    Thank you!

    I’m sorry @lorro,

I read your message 5 more times and finally got the idea, i.e. figured out how to renew translations.

this actually solved the issue. I still used Loco Translate to edit some strings that weren’t translted in Lithuanian, but now ‘Adresai’ shows up correctly.

thanks so much for your input and helping solve the problem!

    All the best,
