The Express checkout uses the address of the previous Vipps order, which can be some time ago. Many of my customers are young and move often. They also don’t read all the details before clicking the final confirmation button. The end result is that I have to re-send the product and pay postage twice, plus lots of admin. Because of that, I have turned the Express function off. The added benefit of slightly increased sales doesn’t justify the hassle.

Could you please consider doing a background match of the customer address to 1881, Folkeregisteret etc and if there is a discrepancy ask the customer to specifically confirm the address before the final purchase?

I’m sorry but this can’t be practically done in the WooCommerce plugin – it has to assume that the address stored in the plugin is the one intended for delivery.

You may try to contact Vipps themselves to argue that the currently active address be more visible when using Express Checkout.

You may also try to change the order-received emails to include the addresses in question with a note that they should check if this is correct.

As an alternative to using Express Checkout, you may possibly consider using the Login with Vipps plugin, which lets the user create a customer using the Vipps app also on the checkout page. They will then see what address is used in the app and can modify this before completing the order.

    Hi @birgerb

There are som Vipps Hurtigkasse improvements in the latest version of the app. See some details in the (soon-to-be-sent) newsletter: https://github.com/vippsas/vipps-developers/blob/master/newsletters/2020-11-newsletter.md
