I have been trying to update 2 Learnpress Addons for two days now without success. I get this error that just pops up.

error js: SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘<‘, “

I tried to update it in the first place because I can’t see assignment attachments as a course Admin. It gives me this error: It appears you don’t have permission to access this page. 403 Error. Forbidden.

I tried adding another author to the course with no success. Tried adding an Instructor no success. As an admin though, I should be able to access uploaded attachements.

I would really like this solved – Can you help?

    Hi onyek2,

Thank you for reaching out and providing the details of the issues you’re experiencing.

The “SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘<‘” error during the add-on update is often caused by a security plugin interfering with the update process. Plugins like Wordfence can sometimes block update requests.

    Please try the following:

    1. Temporarily deactivate your security plugins: Deactivate any security plugins you have installed, such as Wordfence.
    2. Attempt the update again: Try updating the LearnPress add-ons.

If the update is successful, you can then reactivate your security plugins.

    Best regards,

    Hi onyek2,

    Thank you for your response.

You’ve confirmed that you deactivated the security plugins, but are still experiencing the 403 Forbidden error when trying to access uploaded assignments as an administrator?

    Best regards,
    Brianvu-tp
