Additional Social Links Option

    Hello. I saw that someone requested the addition of TikTok to the social links. I would like to second that and I would also like to see Twitch, Spotify and Apple added. Currently, I’m using a custom URL field but this causes the links to display in a separate line/area than the rest of the social links and I’d like them to all be uniform.

    I know how to override template files but since this seems more like a functional thing, I was wondering if you could point me how to override code or what files need to be edited. Thanks.

  • Hi @hagentertainment,

    The list of social itself doesn’t really falls under any templates. It is defined under a function named ‘social_links()’ on class-helper.php (includes/classes). If you want, you can append the list to add new social options and you should be good to go.

    Thank you. I did just that. I wouldn’t want my changes to get overwritten when the plugin updates. For now, I will turn automatic updates off. Is there any way I can save these changes outside of the directory folder, somewhere within my theme?

    There’s no filter available for it, I’m afraid and also, it isn’t part of any templates directly, so it can’t be saved outside of the directory folder for now.
